Emma Caimi Pellini’s atelier was founded in 1947. After studying at the Brera Fine Arts Academy, in 1950 Emma took part in the Triennale in Milano, winning the Second and Third Prize at the exhibition "Imitation of the Jewelry". In 1951 having been invited by Saks in New York, she displayed her work in the prestigious 5th Avenue store.
In 1964 her daughter Carla took over the atelier in Palazzo Belgiojoso, on Via Morigi, where the company’s showroom and press office are still located.
In the family atelier Donatella learns the art of jewelery and reinterprets it with a contemporary vision. In the 80s she starts displaying her collections of plexiglas, PVC, rhodoid bijoux at Bergdof Goodman and Saks Fifth Ave in New York and at Neiman Marcus in Dallas and Los Angeles.
In the 90s she collaborated with Italian, French, and American fashion designers. Donatella became known in the fashion world for her experimentation with resin, which is still the main character of Pellini´s brand.
In 2000 Donatellapellini, a semiprecious stone collection which combines modern techniques with ancient
craft traditions, was inaugurated. Pellini bijoux can be found in three stores in Milan, via Manzoni, via
Morigi, corso Magenta, and also in some of the most prestigious boutiques around the world.
Today, Donatella Pellini shares her days with a team of experts who have assimilated the workshop’s
culture, and carry on the family’s tradition with experience and passion.
